Influence of Honing Parameters on the Quality of the Machined Parts and Innovations in Honing Processes

The article presents a literature review dealing with the effect of honing parameters on quality machined parts, as well recent innovations in processes. First, an overview about and plateau-honing processes is presented, considering main that can be varied during machining. Then, influence surface finish, shape deviation material removal rate presented. Finally, some special innovative applications process are described. For example, variable kinematics allows obtaining oil grooves not rectilinear but curvilinear, order to reduce temperature part machining thus achieving better finish lower deviation. Automation machines useful improve both production verification process.
